I was wondering what the sh1tting forecast was for today

I'm living in my own oasis in the Sahara desert singing " I've been through the desert in a wee orange van, it feels good to be out of the rain.........

Went in search of the zahra shipwreck this morning...it lies on the beach about 10km south of sidi ifni .. I'd seen pics online

Unfortunately it has changed quite a bit since that photo was taken and now all that remains .

I did however manage to help one little injured dog and feed him and his mother so ill post pics up of that later

So I met this little guy on the beach at the shipwreck , he was one of 3 or 4 dogs ,one I think was his mother. He had a big fish hook stuck in his mouth so I wanted to try and get that out . It took about 40 minutes and half of Martins sandwich for me to finally get a hold off him , I grabbed him by the scruff thinking he wouldn't be able to bite me that way but he still managed to clamp around my wrist a few times. But I managed to clamp his mouth closed then Allan grabbed hold of his body to stop him getting away till I tried to work the hook out , the poor guys mouth was a bit swollen I think it's been in there a wee while , didn't think it was going to come out at first and I thought I'd maybe have to carry him to the van and then push it right through and cut it but a miracle must have happened and it suddenly came loose in my hand and I got it out. He was much happier then and bouncing around , got him and his mamma to follow back to the van and then gave them some food and water

Other than the hook and the fact they are both crawling in horse flies they seemed in good health and were not overly thin so they are getting food from somewhere. I left enough for them to have more later and then we headed off back to sidi ifni.

Aye he was howling a bit when I grabbed him , but I could tell he was grateful afterwards and he was much happier, hopefully his gum heals up without any infection etc . But it must have been very painful for him so I'm really pleased I managed to get it out.

I'm now in guelmim , parked up outside the camel Market, its been 34°today but now 28° forecast looks in mid 30's for the rest of the week ...probably hotter as we move closer to the desert . Will be heading to tafroute from here.

I think I've a fault with my coolant fan or the temp sensor which I need to.have a look at as had the temp warning light come on on the way here and I can't hear or see the fan coming on ..

Have you got or can you get a switch to bypass the sensor.

Yeah I have a few switches and cables etc . But need to have a proper look to see what's up. If I can't find what's wrong I'll get it looked at in Tafraout

Just doing what I could, I'd hope anyone else who found him in that state would try to help too.

He never bit me just clamped around my arm a few times , I think he knew I was trying to help . He hasn't broke the skin .

If scratched or had a bite in Morocco by a dog or cat, you need anti rabies jabs.
We meet a couple who had been attacked ( the child 18 months ) by a Cat in Fes.
The Man also got scratched by the cat, they had to have anti rabies jabs ( 4) .
The consequences of not having the jabs are.

As the disease progresses, the person may experience delirium, abnormal behavior, hallucinations, hydrophobia (fear of water), and insomnia. The acute period of disease typically ends after 2 to 10 days. Once clinical signs of rabies appear, the disease is nearly always fatal, and treatment is typically supportive.

I've no scratches or cuts etc thankfully , although he did grip my arm with his teeth he didn't hurt me

She had such a good nature she kept pushing in to me to be petted , I've met so many lovely dogs here that would make such lovely pets.

I can't believe how many and how severe the bumps in the road here are , and often the road itself isn't the best so you wouldn't drive fast anyway.
