Tam n pups winter trip 2022

It's not a tiddler when the satnav sends you down a narrow cobbled street in Spain and then a cull de sac at the top of a hill in France when it takes 30 minutes to get out of it with an audience of Frenchmen tutting and complaining and me shouting out of the window, yes that's right the driver is an idiot:rofl:
Sure it's a tiddler , this was my Franky

Now she was a big girl .

Beautiful inside but far too restrictive ....I don't know how I let myself buy another big bugger. But hey ho we live and learn.

That Elegance is a A class, loverly bit of kit and no problem driving in Spain or France. (y)
I think it depends where. I got in to trouble in Spain a few times with my frankia. So much so I've just completely avoided going there with this one. I had no issues with the hymer though ... I was through some tiny villages with that

Each to there own! I've never had a problem in Spain, Portugal or France. I use the Tomtom go 6250 sat nav.
We like space. If we want to go into tiny villages we hire a car. I'm not American! ;)
Mr Ginam is too tight to hire a car, he just says get yer hiking boots on we can walk there :giggle:

So this afternoon Jackie was going in to malaga to see a Picasso museum, I didn't fancy that but I thought I'd have a walk around town . So I took her in on the scooter dropped her off then I went to see the cathedral, the alcazar and hiked up to the castle for the views.

Then for afternoon doggy walkies I thought I'd have a walk around this carpark and take a few photos of some of the wild contraptions here.

Some are cool and some are frankly ridiculous. And I'd love to hear the owners story of why they have what they have lol .

This vw Lt is cool ...nice condition

And I love this truck although I really wouldn't want to pay for the diesel , I'm sure that's a v12 8 or 10 litre lump in that , but love the gypsy caravan look

Next up is the huge beast I showed you the other day with the pop top that dwarfs concordes and morelos, he had a disgruntled look on his face when I walked past it to take pics of the old truck . So I took pity on him ..his ego required it lol

An ex Dutch flower truck vario the same as the one I was considering in the UK last year. I quite like this idea. Still only 7 metres long

The rest were just boring white boxes ...ranging from the old 80's to brand new and every size conceivable , there's quite a few concordes and 2 big morelos. Some with all the washing hanging out etc just asking for the police to come clear us all out . But an interesting assortment

...but not go in 🤷‍♂️
I would have thought the Picasso museum would have been interesting (at the very least)
Surely the dogs would be okay for a couple of hours?
If it had been a good artist I would have but I never got Picasso or that style of painting . Dogs were in van I was in town myself on the scooter. I did want to go in the cathedral but it was closed 😔

Ohhhh, our silver Hymer is sooo boring now. We are thinking of a respray, or at least a partial one, but I don't think we'd go down the multi coloured look.

I think all the motorhomes are quite boring to be honest...just big white boxes most of the time. Pvc conversions at least throw a bit colour... I've seen some lovely ones and I like that orange on CaptainPaul van , seen a few nice black ones too very stealth gangster looking but I imagine they'd be boiling in summer. I love seeing All the mental self builds some are really cool looking but some are on huge gas guzzlers and I don't get it sometimes as it must cost an absolute fortune in fuel .

Malaga is a great city to visit and have a short break. It benefits from being mostly overlooked by folk flying in and disappearing off elsewhere.

I’d love to have a fantastic wrap done on our Hymer but what puts me off having a distinctive van, it’s more noticeable. People are more aware of where you’ve been etc.

Don't let others put you off. Go and get it done and show us all how it looks :giggle: I've thought about it but don't know what look I'd go for.

Sensible choice did the Picasso museum in Barcelona some years ago quite boring.
Malga alcazar is really good especially as it's only 30 cents for us pensioners to go in.
We did the Picasso museum too around 2004. A couple in front of us kept saying oooh he liked his tits didn't he and were constantly giggling causing some angry looks and comments from others:ROFLMAO:

Yep, we were surprised how nice it was I always recomend anyone in the area to make shure they visit it.

I agree with you about that. When I had private number plates on car, many posing years ago, I was sick of people telling Mr Ginam, just seen your Gina's car in Tesco, just seen your Gina's car at the bank, just seen Gina driving along the A52 :X3:

I’d definitely consider going to Morocco for a respray 10th of the price….

You certainly won't miss me anywhere! Lol -Broken Link Removed-

If you need any touch up paint they’ve got your colour in Tafraoute available…😉

Where has CaptainPaul picture of his van gone!!!
Don't know Ginam 🤷‍♂️ I got a popup which said something about parsing failure whatever that means! Lol
