Tam & co the great winter escape

I had a 1975 Mk3 Cortina it was 9 Months old when I bought it. Worse car I ever had, auto gearbox was diabolical & in strong winds on a motorway it would change lanes on its own.
I had 17 ford cortinas in total , 1 x mk1 , 4 x mk2 , 2 x mk3 , 7 x mk4 and 3 x mk5 .

Loved them all .

Also had 3 ford consuls

2 mk1 ford granadas , 3 x mk2 , 2xmk3 1 of which was a Scorpio 4x4

Several escorts mk2 , mk3 ,mk4 , mk5

3 mk1 fiestas , couple of mk2 , couple of mk3

Few american fords

I was a fordy fan before i got in to VW's

Edit* i also forgot about the numerous ford capris ... Wish i had photos of all my old cars , ive had so many it would have been nice.

If you’d kept em all, and in good nick, and sold them before you went away, you could be in a nearly paid for Morelo with the money:xThumb::xrofl:

Mr O got very excited on a mountain road near Thermos when he spied (I’ll probably get this wrong) a mk1 escort with some rare feature in the corner of a field followed quite quickly on the other side of the road by a cosworth of some description. He briefly spoke of bringing a car trailer next time 🙄 I think my lack of enthusiasm for that plan was evident.

If he tells me where they are I’ll go and get them!

How is Ela doing, is she still coughing?
Gave only 2 coughs last night so it might be nothing but an over anxious daddy ....i was on phone to vets yesterday lol as i thought she was breathing heavy. I might just not be used to her funny noises

Dogs can get something similar to hay fever. It may be something as simple as the trees surrounding your parking place.
Yes it could be as being a hound her nose rarely leaves the ground ...shes always sniffing and rooting in the undergrowth .

Once again inundated with germans. Had a nice quiet spot last night till 2 german Van's pulled in around 8pm ....noisy buggers who had visitors stop in cars ( also German) till after 11pm .....so took the opportunity to move and park in the small beach carpark I was in last year. Not sure if it's just theres not many of any other nationalities here this year but it does seem like Germany has re occupied Greece this year. Nearly every van you see is german and whilst they all seem to be very sociable with each other I've not found them to be very chatty this year. ...most haven't spoke any english which again is different from last year

The Germans are out in Spain in huge numbers also.

Lot's of German's here too. Like the Brits many are happy to escape the cold winters. Always found the majority very friendly and most have amazing English. We always make a point of saying hello in German and then apologising that we don't know more than a few words. Always seems to break the ice. Same goes for French, Spanish etc always try to greet them in their language.

Great blog keep it coming. Weather appears not to be what you experienced last year. That big hound appears to be settling in well. Christmas dinner for 5 this year.

New Years resolution, learn to speak some German/French/Spanish.

Merry Christmas and stay safe in these strange times.

Maybe the locals don't like to be photographed and they all scarpered. Maybe do a panoramic shot next time and we might believe you

Very jealous. Not seen the sun in the Isle of Man for days. Just grey and drizzle and low light. Bloody Christmas shopping this morning as well. Cant wait to be retired.

Well, at least the days are getting longer. By about 30 seconds every day!

I felt kind of awkard taking a photo of everyone eating breakfast and drinking coffee etc so i pointed camera away ...but it was nice to see people out . Had to show our covid stats etc ...
