When you take your pet back into the EU, from the UK, with a Portuguese EU pet passport, what's the procedure with regard to worming, fit to travel, fees and requirements? (last time we went abroad we had the UK health check paperwork)

Thanks, we are not fixed on our route yet so will note those but we tend to do the worming quite close to Santander and will try to get both done in one vet visit. Rabies not out of date until October so don’t have to wait the 21 days.The more northern ones but beware the vet Oscar visited - see post #86 above.
Ricardo Saiz Nunin at Vitoria-Gasteiz in the Basque Country gets rave reviews.
Also Petsworld, La Zenia is very popular.
Here he is with one of his Pet Passports:Done a google search for Ricardo under his name and cannot find which surgery he is at.
Ah, this seems to be the place
I fully understand your problem. If someone could check your postbox just to stop it getting wet or whatever you could pick it up at your leisure, as my son did, and do it then. Good luck.Useful, thank you. My problem will be the time it akes for the I-Cad registration process to complete as it takes so long. I am a weekender, the longest time I've stayed there is in the summer hols with the kids. Now I just pretend I have kids and go anyway
As you can imagine, I can't do 'nipping back' just to check my post box :{
Nothing much. Present the passport and go. No need for worming or fitness to travel certification just make sure everything is in date. They will not check you upon entry to Europe.When you take your pet back into the EU, from the UK, with a Portuguese EU pet passport, what's the procedure with regard to worming, fit to travel, fees and requirements? We had our dog's done in France after returning home from the UK with her. There were not many approved laboratories then (2019) and the test sample was sent to a lab in Germany. She failed the first test because, apparently, her immune system was too immature to respond adequately. She passed the second, test taken after a repeat rabies jab, but we were not charged for the second test. It did provide a convenient opportunity to replace her newly acquired UK passport for a French one though! You will need to be able to go back to the vet who took the sample and commissioned the test on your behalf for the page in the passport to be filled in. I don't think the result came back very quickly then so you will need to seek advice from the vet about how long it takes nowadays. They should know best.Slightly off topic, but just wondering about getting our dog a titre test whilst in Spain in case we need 1 in the future & she's just had her rabies jab - has anyone any recommendations for having had it done in Spain & timings & cost please?
