Taking the mickey?

Can't see what he can do
With a monstrosity like that other than park it illegally, let's give him a break he could be unemployed wife kicked him out bared from
seeing his kids with nowhere else to live. :(
You may well be right and we don’t know the circumstances however parking like a buffoon and drawing attention to yourself is perhaps not the ideal solution. Had he parked at the side or the back of the car park slightly more away from prying eyes and not hogging the view he may have received more sympathetic comments.

Why not just knock on their door and ask them politely if they could move so as to create more space in the car park for locals etc? They might be verbally abusive ( which in itself isn't actually going to harm you) or they might just apologise and take the point and move.

If I were local, I'd be making his stay uncomfortable... perhaps airhorns at 3am...
sort of thing...
He has tyres and tyres have valves.

Which makes him ignorant and unable to move, and both of you petty criminals.

Sounds like an own goal to me.

I think he lives down the road from my in laws in Wellington. I remember those two hideous boxes on the roof. I said to Rachel about it and she said no chance then she spotted the roof boxes as well.
Pm me if anyone wants the name of the road for pitch forking reasons!

Why are you so bothered?
Because it is utterly selfish and gets us all a bad name. These coastal car parks are often used short term by elderly and disabled people to get a short break and a change of view. People on here complain about height barriers and this is just inviting the local authority to install them throughout Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch. The BCP Council will probably be pressured by locals to prevent this from happening again and we all will suffer.

Why am I bothered? Because I think about the consequences and how it affects others.

Have you also noticed the advert on this website for Erwin Hymercentre? That motorhome has been 'hogging' that prime parking slot for weeks?😁

I saw a similar one in the car park at the top of blue bank on the way into Whitby a while ago. To be fair it wasn't really causing any problems there as long as they empty responsibly. In winter it would be less of a problem at a busy time it's selfish at best.

At least he isn't doing this every couple of hours in broad daylight in front of all the local dogwalkers etc

The bright orange bag of rubbish was left outside all night too despite the bin being less than 25 feet away.

Yes and the dodgy parking blocking the road 😁 I think the dealer adds have a lot to answer for lol

Ok ok .... I’m fed up with having my tyres let down and every Tom dick and harry knocking on my door and running away...
I’ll move the bloody thing...😇
Better be quick. The MHF Vigilante team may be on their way.:giggle:

I too am running on the covid mot extension. It was automatically applied and I accepted it. I dont consider myself a tight ass even if you do.
Seems pointless to me ...the mot stations are open...they have been for months
I prefer to know my vehicle is safe and roadworthy so the mot was done in June
Mums car got an extension too but was done 3 days after.

Just another government wrong turn leading to hundreds of un roadworthy vehicles being used and bought and sold really.

No this is a BH13 postcode. Many of the residents have money and “contacts”, the retribution will happen elsewhere and it won’t be subtle. Be afraid, be very afraid.

I’d be more worried about the Turin Moor vigilantes than the BH13 mob.

We're on the MOT extension too. I considered taking it anyway but the van is low mileage and like new underneath. I'm sure it can manage another 6 months without killing us 😁 some people will be driving wrecks though, no doubt 🙄

I wouldn’t normally post something like this but it is local to me and giving the rest of us a bad name. This huge motorhome has been parked up in this very small local park ( with fabulous views of the sea and Brownsea Island) for at least 3 days and nights. It is parked sideways on, taking up the whole of the front row, bar one space, best view obviously. This is a local council owned car park with very low parking charges. Overnighting is not and never has been permitted. There are currently no toilets there and no running water. I popped down earlier. The car park is rammed and I don’t think he could get out if he tried........convenient eh? No parking wardens around as usual here, can’t get hold of the council !!!!! I sincerely hope it’s not one of us ? Exceptionally selfish in my view. View attachment 420834MView attachment 420835
I would suggest that parking anywhere in that car park is inappropriate, but lets assume for a moment that they parked nose on, would some find that more acceptable, assuming they needed to stop.

So you know it was safe and roadworthy in June then.
