We will be going through Switzerland spending 2 nights out and two nights back. Do we have to get Swiss francs or are Euros acceptable.

That's a question I've been researching, we got 2.40 SwF to the £1 when we were last there in the mid 90's. I'm told that euros are widely accepted but you cannot depend on that everywhere. Another factor is that you won't get a good rate of exchange when paying in euros.

Edit: Don't forget the vignette.

When we were in Moutier last September they were happy to take Euro's at 1:1 exchange rate.
You lost about 10% every transaction:thumb:

If you don't expect to spend a lot . Pay by credit card ( especially if you have one that carries no conversion charge eg. Nationwide, saga. To name a couple) saves all the hazzles.
