Sweet September Meet at The White Horse PH, Tattingstone, Suffolk

We will be having a mini meet from the 16th to the 18th of September, or longer if you wish, at The White Horse PH Tattingstone, Suffolk.

We had a great meet here in April and the general consensus was we must 'do it again'.

For anyone that missed the thread last time or who has joined since the following is a reminder about the venue.

This site is just a couple of hundred metres from " Alton Water " a vast man-made lake, created in the 1970s and 80s to supply drinking water to the people of South Suffolk.

You can do the 8 mile cycle round the lake, watch the yachts sailing, see all the wildlife or just go for a walk. There are loads of footpaths and a great walk round the nearby quiet end of the water. Dogs are more than welcome :Smile:

The pub does food and on the Sunday (if you can stay for it) is a buskers night. Very low key but those of us who made a night of it in the pub really enjoyed it. Even those drinking the 'Grumpy Bastard' beer

There are 5 electric hook ups, sharing is possible, as long as they are paid for the landlord is easy going about who uses them. The fees are £7 a night without electricity and £9 a night with.

We will be at the site by the Thursday (15th) and will stay until Tuesday (20th) or so :Smile:

So if you want to be there for longer than a weekend that would be fine.

We have decided that twelve vans would be a nice number to give everyone plenty of room.

We will not be able to attend on that date as we will only just have got back from the continent .. a week later and we could join in ! :Smile:

Sorry John and Mo,
If you do not ask you do not get! But, the site at the pub is proving quite popular with other groups and I have booked for that weekend. We have squeezed the meet in between other things going on. Plus, the Busker's night is on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month

and we really enjoyed the entertainment. Thanks for the interest though. Jane :Smile:

Can we provisionally book with electric EHU for the weekend, all depending on my knee op.

Hi Pat, it would be good if you and Neil can make it, whilst numbers are low we can leave it as a provisional (fully understand the knee op stuff) and see how it goes. Regarding the electricity as we said, sharing is nice, you can be in charge of a hook up though. As long as the cost is covered, all is well. All the best, Jane and Bob :Smile:

Pleased the Grumpy B'stard went down so well

Must have been what the guy singing 'Poisoning Pigeons in the Park' was on, hopefully that is not a side effect

Happy to give you control of an EHU as I know you will be a friend indeed to a funster that needs a boost. Looks like I might have to get there on the Wednesday as you will be zipping past the Suffolk / Norfolk border (and us) very promptly I know! Jane :Smile:

Yes - absolutly no probs with sharing the juice around & we will give you a hoot when we cross the border at crack of dawn ( as long as Dawn doesn't mind
