You'll be glad to know there is a bar on site (not a proper rugby club if they didn't) along with a short walk to town, pubs and a couple of supermarkets :)

Location, Swaffham rugby club, North Pickenham Road Swaffham Norfolk PE37 7QX

A little early to post this but I have had so many requests to get it on the board I decided it best to bow to pressure !
Yes, we are back at the Swaffham venue for the 2023 ( and 23rd year of the event ! ) as requested by pretty much all who attended
The venue is 5 minutes walk from a quite big market town with lots to see and visit
The site has a good elsen point and fresh water ( both on opposite side of the building thankfully LOL !! )

The only fly in the ointment is the cost. The venue price is almost three times that of Thetford, so am afraid ticket prices are a little more this time
The price PER HEAD ( as always ... got to consider all the solo travellers ) will be £17.50, but that is for the WHOLE event. from 3pm Thursday the 25th of May until Monday the 29th( might get away with Tuesday but we will have to see )
That equates to less than £5 per night per person ( and dogs and kids under 16 are free if you have them ! ) which is pretty good

We will be returning to the normal format now the gov has stopped messing about the dates

Friday night Fish and chips and a cash prize quiz laid on by Gaston aires

Saturday morning motorcycle ride out to take in a cafe at a heritage railway station and a motorcycle museum
Saturday evening live music and charity auction ( got BIG news on that for all our regulars... see note below )

Sunday morning Moped madness ( We supply all the peds and crash helmets if wanted )
Entry is free and the over all winner gets a nice trophy

Sunday
In the afternoon if needs rise, another quick auction to sell any bits still up for grabs
Also if the weather is fine we may have another mass gave of Bobs Blocks in the afternoon ( Big money prize for the winner ! )
Sunday evening it is 60's - 70's disco night plus trophy presentation

Monday it is goodbyes and thank yous :)

Tickets are now on sale

So what is the big news ?

I know we are really late asking & it sounds like the shindig is full up, so could we (Clare & I) go on the reserve list please?
Two people, One van and One motorbike (for the Saturday ride-out :)

Jaws I’m afraid we’re going to have to cancel this as horskpital appointment gets in the way sadly and as they’re as rare as rocking horse poo I need to take it.

Last call for any one who fancies a go in the moped madness

We supply the peds etc ( which on a good day may reach the staggering speed of 15mph !! ) all you have to supply is the madness :-)

Winner gets a rather nice engraved trophy

In the interest of race organisation, can you please remove Cindy from the entrant list? Cindy broke her wrist a couple of months ago, now recovering well with a metal plate and screws etc. Should be race fit for next year though. ;)

Hi John, sorry to say we will have to cancel this rally as my wife has received a hospital appointment and as I’m sure you will appreciate she cannot refuse. I hope someone will take my place, if not no worries. Have a brilliant time

Hi do you have any more space at this event please for 1 unit 2 people .We are awaiting granddaughter to come out of hospital with new baby at moment and feeling a need for a few away days. thanks John.
