I think you are possibly trying to link back to this thread, but I have no idea why you would want to repost rather than comment in the original thread? As our government will not allow electric scooters (Ignored by many) then the chances of these ever becoming mainstream here without full automation is zero.

Imagine the fun we could have if we used them instead of mopeds

Some can't even stay on the mopeds, or avoid collisions with other riders on the flat. The thought of adding another dimension is beyond imagination here.
