Does anyone have an electrical surge protection device either fitted to their vehicle or one that plugs into the EHU system?
Reason for asking is that a surge blew our last vehicles charging unit😤
It wasn’t the cost as this was covered by the site but it was the time that it took to get a replacement and we had to sort all that out and get it replaced and certified.
Any suggestions would be very welcome 👍

Our problem is gas, we intend staying for 3 months, so I’m not sure we can drag out the gas that long with fridge and any cooking we decide to do and possibly heating when needed
Hi, we’ve been to Morocco several times and do not plug in because of the surges etc. We rely on 110 solar to top up our leisure batteries, we are low 12v users and rely on 230ah LA. However as stated LPG cylinders are really cheap and we use one of these to connect to the fill point.

You might be able to get one fast tracked to you on next day delivery or perhaps sent to a Lock Box in Spain if you are staying in one spot for a while.

Thanks for this, never heard of this way of refilling, so a regulator and pipe into the BBQ outlet ? What sort of filter would I need ?
This is one as an example that screws on to the bottle first then the regulator and a hose to the BBQ point or without a regulator using the special hose to the refill point. Filter it is not for refilling. Using the BBQ point it puts low pressure gas via a regulator into the system after the on-board regulator. With the special hose it passes high pressure gas through the refillable cylinders via the on-board regulator. IT DOES NOT REFILL THE CYLINDERS. The BBQ point method with a filter is much safer because it cannot contaminate the on-board regulator or refillable cylinders which are turned off.

If you are using the hose to the filler point you can also fit an inline filter therefore avoiding the potential for contaminating the onboard regulator. I’m not sure your comment regarding the BBQ point being a much safer method is necessarily correct. However each to their own.
