Super cheap ferries

Yeah, I've just paid £456.70 for Caen/Portsmouth - Portsmouth/Cherbourg with pet friendly cabin at end of October in a normal sized car. Not cheap

Thank you but it says that the discounted cabins are inside only and we prefer outside, although you can upgrade. Also, that the discounts only apply to daytime crossings but we prefer to travel overnight :)

I’m sure I’m doing something wrong. Every time I try and book the tunnel they want £300+ each way!

We paid £87 for two adults plus 7m MoHo Dunkirk to Dover July 12th midday sailing against £197 for the Tunnel. Yes it is less convenient but we have plenty of time on our hands so worked for us.

So we’ve always booked as a return crossing. As always had to get back for work.
If going for an extended period and nothing to worry about for return is it better to book single crossing’s?

DFDS Newhaven to Dieppe, if you are over 60, and phone book ( not online) you get a 20% discount. Works for me! It is usually £160 ish return.
Obviously you can pick your ferries with the nice girl in the Dieppe booking office and get different prices for different days/times if you are flexible!

Well that's a bonus, we where waiting on parts from Holland for our vb suspension (Neuss is a lovely town but not worth more than a day's stayover).
Email this morning "parts have arrived , bring it in we will fix it this morning".
We will now probably book the Irish ferry's through calais.
Its a lovely day, mind I haven't got the bill yet 😁😁😁

£93.60 Hook of Holland to Harwich with the camc on the 19th sept day crossing . However reminded myself about the camc discount, thank you. we saved £40. Nice one (my manc coming through there 🙂)

We booked about ten days ago to do Dover-Calais with Puke&Orrible next week, about £90 one way for a mid afternoon crossing which seemd reasonable.
I get the feeling that they are still the only one who's prices come down nearer the sailing date, whereas DFDS definately work the other way.
Cb.
