Summer job in looe Cornwall

This is a nice little offering, however, I for one, could not accommodate it as of yet. Blooming shame....however, have mentioned to the missis....Just in case. Anything in the summer months? This is when my time off is in its prime ?

Very surprised you can request a photo nowadays, wonder how that would stand up in law. Could be used to discriminate in all sorts of ways. Any of our legal experts out there? Just wondering.

Employers are not allowed to discriminate on appearance but there is nothing in the legislation to prevent a photograph being requested that I'm aware of. They could say it is so they can recognise someone when they come for an interview or even for "positive action" if they think ethnic minorities are under-represented in their organisation.

Employers are well within their rights to select the most suitable applicant and don't need to provide a reason why an applicant didn't get the job. Much the same shortly after employing a new member of staff they can terminate their employment with no reason (unless on a fixed contract).

I suppose if they have asked for 'a couple' the rules may change? All for equality but I know I couldn't do the physical lifting that most men can but feel I have more offer in other areas when dealing with members of the public, organisation, gardening etc etc etc.

Being PC these says has complicated a lot of issues I guess. :/

Thats my thinking my wife is a Chef/cook so I would be the pretty one flirting with the punters maybe do a bit of washing up
