We had a "battery charging" drive. Over 100km on good roads, a lot on the autovia.

We drove from dry to drizzle. When we pulled on here we only had a few places to choose from. We were too early, obviously.

Anyway, we donned lightweight waterproofs, jic, and headed off to see the wetlands and the bird observatory. It's really the wrong time to see much of interest, but it was a pleasant stroll.

We then headed into the town. Our first impressions were that it is very run down. Then we got to the "other" part and it was so different.

Martin called into a farmacia for some Voltarol cream (we can't pass many places without a purchase of something or another) and then we followed the locals, to find the good part of town.

We could easily have stopped off for lunch, but ... we didn't like to risk leaving the fridge contents for another day.

The fridge is now working, very well, BTW!

Contents eaten. If I'm not on here tomorrow you'll know why 😂

Fridge update...two issues that could have caused our Dometic fridge to be struggling to maintain its cooling.
Gas supply...jet cleaned.
Hose that allows discharge of melting water to escape fridge not connected.....re attached...this would prevent warm air from lower part/,burner to flow into the fridge main body...who would if thought this....well...I suppose me....and whatever I did yesterday achieved a positive result...which I must say is quite pleasing....the fridge now functions like we all would expect...
The final test...Cold Beer pre lunch...now that's a 100% success story if ever there was...🤔😃🥳🥳🥳🥳🇪🇦

I'm not expecting this to be the best/quietest Friday night we've ever had.

I hope I can report tomorrow, differently 😂
Depends on the result I guess

Not seen it yet, just got back from a works jolly management workshop in North Wales, but it's recorded so starting it now.

I'd like to see the original cave, I wouldn't be too bothered about a replica.

Even so, its all too touristy for us.

We much prefer the natural scenes.
Sometimes I find you have to go where the tourists are if you want to see or do something particular. The replicas are so good you’d think they were the originals, well done to whoever made them.

A successful morning....sat out the rain, topped up with LPG...collected Amazon stuff...brake pads for those who follow bikes..got wet....drove to overnight location in rain, set van up... got wet, just had pasta leftover meal... exceptional, jumartoo is a dab hand (Peavy) at making pasta something special....now a little more wine, siesta, then Bring it home England....if we lose to Switzerland, I will never eat another Toblerone in my remaining years...nor will I climb another Swiss Alpine peak...well that's out anyway, my knees go up, but don't come down.....so theoretically I can....but have to stay up there... I'll donate my Swiss Army knife to anyone who can work out the uses of all 18 blades, picks and bits that must have a use....it's a good knife, signed model by a famous Swiss person.....I only knew William Tell...but Switzerland have many famous people....just like Belgium...more wine...🤔🤭🇪🇦👍

I'm hoping for an England - Spain Final.
Win win ...

I won't be watching though, I've never seen a football match, the whole way through, in my life. Not about to start now.

(I will hear all the commentary though 🤣🤣🤣)

Helen, sometimes. Sometimes I have to switch off, like earlier, when I was shown the bike brakes. From watching the opening of the boxes (multiple) and having the differences between the really expensive ONE and the FOUR others explained.

I had to look interested, but my mind was elsewhere 🤭🤭🤭

So speaking, knowledgeably about such things doesn't happen. I'd rather Martin speak to other "experts" 🤣🤣🤣

Hi guys...had a reasonable day following a remarkable night of English dominance in European sport...Lucky I say...at least we've mastered penalty shootouts....just got to improve in open play..
0035hrs someone visited the Camperstop and attempted a national record of speaking loud whilst others slept...I believe the record was broken, as was our sleep...thanks for that...most kind....
Fairly good ride this morning...but muddy...very nice in places....
Now on Camperstop alone near Mining museum.....it's 19°c and all solar panels are harvesting as expected...this will replenish both leisure and eBike batteries...
The fridge remains the coolest it's been...so no further attention is required....other than to keep it well stocked with my favourite beer...🥳🇪🇦🤔

Last night turned out quieter than we expected. The trains, commented about on P4N, were no problem. We'd just turned the light off when some fireworks began. A minute or so and all was quiet, even the dogs that started up at the first bang.

We slept well (me especially, as normal). Martin, though, was woken by two vehicles that drove down to the service point. A car and a camper? Van. Anyway, they spoke, loudly, for about 15 minutes and then drove off. (I'd been woken by this time. I wasn't happy 🤣)

We decided to try a ride I'd found on Wikiloc. Set in 2008, it had positive reviews right up to June this year, so we risked it. Even after the heavy rain we had all day yesterday, we only had a few places where we needed to push around some large, muddy, puddles. The first part of the ride was mediocre, but then we got into nice terrain, with loveky views.

Plots are for sale overlooking some of these views. Plots are also for sale on the local golf complex. Real Club de Golf La Barganiza. I think properties there will be slightly more upmarket than our golf view Penthouse in Alhama de Murcia 😂😂😂

Grain store. Makes a good carport. Not what it was built for.

Turned into a bit of a muddy climb.

Undaunted, we carried on. We had lots of lovely views.

Having spent many many years visiting all over Spain we were blown away on our first visit to Asturias by the scenic beauty. 😊
I’ve never seen a grain loft as large as that one on my travels 😜

There are lots of them here, bigger and squarer than the Galician ones. One place even had a matching pair, both as big as the one in my photo.
