And I have a little game for us inquisitive men. Its called hunt the fuse. I have been out looking now for two hours and can't find it.!

Paul you'll have to give us a clue .....

Is it in the motorhome , .....In the house,......or in an explosive devise ?

Well Tony, I have two additional added 12v sockets on my van. One blew a fuse when I plugged in my faulty invertor (*thats a blush smilie police)

It blew a fuse, the other works fine, all 12v works fine, I have looked at the RCU and checked all fuses there, I have swapped sockets to ensure that they are working. And still I hunt the fuse, it must have an inline one somewhere, where though is a great game.

Have you never heard the expression me fuse has gone:RollEyes: thats it its gone you wont find it:Doh:

Blimey no fi$hy tales yet:Doh:

Must be an area where dongles don't work:Wink::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

Well sadly we are back

A big thankyou to Pammy and Geo for organising another really good meet. There were plenty of new funsters there, and all of them appeared a good laugh.

I was robbed in the fishing contest, Geo and Bryan used article 5 of the rule book and told me to attend my peg at 11am, however they all went at 7-30am to get a good start on me.
some great fish were caught by everyone (except me I liked to concentrate on the small ones).

so thanks for all your company guys, and its not often you return from a meet with more booze than you took, so thanks Ruth. :thumb:

see you all in France shortly.

Back home and really looking forward to work tomorrow to get some relax time:Wink:

like Paul i was also robbed at the fishing but i did catch 6 or 7 fish.....a couple of them worth catching too:thumb:.

i understood we would be there around 10.30 but the early birds were there much earlier.....someone said Bryan was at the lake at 6.30am laying claim to his place at the bank then back to bed for an hour:Eek!: must have some german blood in him:BigGrin:
anyway...thanks to Pammy and Geo and everyone else for a great weekend as usual.

nice to meet some new funsters as well.

An excellent meet nice to meet up with you all.

Just as a side note we are still here & went down the lake today to see a young angler land his 45th carp (his count). Last week he said he had 102 :Eeek:

Are these fishy tales? Well he caught 5 while I stood and watched him. :Eek!:

Good meet Pam & all who helped.

Hi all

Just to say a big thank you to everyone who attended the meet. We really did have a good time, socialising, fishing etc.

We had great weather too until Sunday morning - sadly it started to rain before the Boules challenge could take place so it looks like Linda will remain our champion until next year at least.

Well done to Graham (Scunny-Arfie) for landing the biggest fish (about 10lb I believe). Graham is one of the new members to the meets and so hopefully he will have had such a good time that he will want to come on some more.

It was also great to meet some other new members too namely Robert (Carpyone) and Sue and Tony (Tink).

Of course, it was also fantastic to see old friends as well - some actually travel a heck of a way to get to this meet so we must be doing something right in picking this site. It's a lovely place, beautifully laid out pitches with hook ups are available at £10 per night, tennis courts, a fishing lake where the fish commit suicide (Bryan actually court a fish without bait on one occasion). Next year the price per night including hook up will be £12 per night.

There were some photos taken at the meet and hopefully Bryan will post them soon.

Hope everyone gets home eventually - see you all again soon

Pammy & Geo

Pammy & Geo,

Thanks for an excellent meet, well organised and great meeting many new faces.
Felt very sorry for the one little fish that kept getting caught every minute for what seemed all day ! Mind you the winning fish was a beauty.
Could I ask that the next time you organise this meet, please do not take the good weather away with you, as it never stopped raining after you left, and only brightened up this morning as we left.

Hello all, writing this with mixed emotions.

I Had a great 1st meet + Thanks to you all for one thing or another, Pam + Geo for being great hosts + puuting on a great meet, Paul (Mr Haganap) for your help with my boiler, Robert (Carpy1) for being such a sport in the fishing, there was a little doubt in the weight of the biggest fish ( i thought fishermen exaggerated on the size of their fish but if Pam said it was 10lbs i will except that :thumb:) and he unselfishly waived his claim for the cup due to mine being a specamin fish, Thanks you are a Gent, John (Pappajohn) who was sat on the next peg to me + being someone to have a good chinwag with ( not many of you know this but he had a good fish but lost it when tangled in a twig/branch that was underwater near his peg ) + caught 7 others (or was it 8 John?) on his 1st time fishing + EVERYONE who was there for making my 1st meet fantastic + one i will cherish + remember for a long time.

So sorry that the wife didnt spend much time with us all (the odd hour here + there) but as you know Billy our dog wasnt too well + sadly this is where the buzz of the weekend goes out of the window as sadly yesterday (Monday) we had to call the vet + now he is in the "Big Kennel in the Sky" so as i said at the start mixed emotions for me.

Anyone yet to have their 1st meet dont hesitate, go for it as you will have a Great Time.

Take care all, safe + happy journeys , hope to see you at Lincoln in Sept if not before.

yet another great meet, though I am sure that Bryan will have bags under his eyes from getting up so early, to secure the fishing pegs, us ladies had a great day whilst you men were fishing, and a good time was had by all who attended this meet, well done again pammy and geo, pammy hope your copper kettle held out from all those cuppa's you made:BigGrin: shame about the boules, sorry to hear about your four legged friend graham, been there so know how you feel. it was nice to see new faces and chat with them all.

Suzy, if I can't get into my shorts on holiday shall I blame you for baking and tempting me with those gorgeous cakes:Rofl1: or me for not being able to resist. think i know he answer:BigGrin:

see you all soon

thanks again

ruth & tony

Home at last after a stop over near Spalding for three days.

A great big thanks to Pammy and Geo for organising and hosting this meet. A great set of funsters who I'm sure all enjoyed the weekend. Good company, good food at BBQ and breakfast, (thanks to "chef" Geo ) and good fishing. Shame the boules had to be canceled.

Congratulations to Graham on the best fish, it was a 9.5ib Ghost Carp, the only one caught all day, plenty of commons and a few Mirror carp plus Bryan's 'pilchards' sorry Roach.

My thoughts are with you Graham over the loss of your dog, I've been there and I know its hard, but remember the good times you had with it.

Hi all

Thanks for those kind words everyone - makes it all worth while when you know that people enjoyed themselves.

Graham - so sorry to hear about your loss - it's so hard to come to terms with for a while when you lose a much loved pet - hang on to your memories you'll get there.

Pammy

If anyone is looking for a good light weight bike (115kg) this one is for sale in classifieds (just bid successfully on a Skorpion Traveller on eBay ready for bike trip to Shetland next year):thumb:

There is treatment available for what Tony (Tink) is suffering from .

I reckon we should have the men in white coats waiting at Morecambe.
