Hi Folks.

Last year's summer chill out meet was such a success that I have been asked by many to put this one up again. So here it is:

This is for the weekend of 24 - 26 July

Join us at:

Grange Park at S c u n t h o r p e.

Grange Park - A Place for all occasions

Address is:
The Grange
Butterwick Rd, Messingham,
S c u n t h o r p e,
DN17 3PP
01724 762945

I have reserved the flat rally field but unfortunately this does not come with EHU, there is water on the site, 2 loos, and showers that are open all the time. Don't worry about not having EHU, there are plenty of us with generators to top up your batteries if necessary.

RV's can go on the hard standing, Europeans on the grass - but we will all be pitched together.

We are going to have a great FUN weekend with the following activities for those who want to take part. :thumb:

A Fishing match (for the fishermen amongst us) (this is where the fish literally commit suicide and jump on to your bait)
A boules competition

The prices are yet to be confirmed but last year the fees were £8 per night with fishing at £4 per day (I don't think the fees will be different but I will confirm this in a couple of weeks when the owner gets back from her holidays).

If you just want a relaxing weekend to just have a laugh then this meet is also for you.

There is a club house on site which should be open all day for food and drink.

If you want to join us then please let me know and I will add you to the list.

See you all soon

oh go on then, if you insist.

I bet i cant get wetter than last year.

Just as a matter of interest though pammy, there is a fishery accross the road that is probably more suited, ie a little more space if there gets to many for the little pond.

would be nice to take that Geo and Brian 100meter cast on again.:loveyou:

100 METERS:Doh:
WE've bin practising since then:Cool:

well with yours and brians casting, you could stand at Grange park fishery yet fish the one accross the road.:Rofl1:

Sorry Pammy,

Unable to make this as hopefully I will be at the G.N.C.M.F for a Western W/E at Barnard Castle. But I know you will all have a great time:thumb:

Please put my name on the list .

I've never fished a match, do we have to provide our own keep nets?

Im such a gentleman Carpy you can share mine:Wink:
no hard and fast rules on our meets if you can borrow one than it helps but generally yes if your seriously thinking about winning you will need to weigh in your catch
but you dont have to compete you still fish with those that are:thumb:
Might be a first, how about pairs fishing two rods one net:RollEyes:

Paul and Mark - I'm sure you were just two of the many asking me to put this meet on again and now you're telling me I should have gone for the fisheries next door:Doh::Doh: I can't do these things unless you tell me.

Anyway, after Ash's depressing weekend at fishing this weekend he needs some fish that will jump on his line unless of course he managed to catch a huge wopper when everyone else had gone yesterday.:Rofl1::Rofl1:

Well I'm really gutted that you just didn't managed to pull one out - even if just to beat Geo's little tiddler.:Rofl1: I wish we could have stayed longer - it was a really relaxing weekend - so much so I hardly managed to do any work today - couldn't get my **s* in gear:Rofl1: It was really great to catch up with Steve and Jan too.

Anyway better luck at Scunny eh???? Are you up for the challenge??:thumb:

Thanks Pammy + Kieth for the welcome, been wanting to go on a meet since Sept when i bought my m/h but it was always in 1 garage or another, i now have a newer replacement m/h + am itching to get going. Summer chill out

Hi Pammy

Would love to come to the meet have not been to one yet. However, we live in Cornwall and usually avoid straying too far July/August. We have been planning a trip to Yorkshire never been. What would the chances be of finding campsits after the meet...would not be worth the trip for just the weekend.:Eeek:

Can't make that one I'm afraid. We'll be at Kelmarsh Hall for the Festival of History.

Hi Liz

Really pleased that you are choosing this meet as your first one. You won't be dissapointed if you like a lot of laughs.

As far as finding campsites are concerned you could always contact Grange Park and see if, after the meet, you could transfer over to their pitches that have hook up. It's a really nice site, the people are lovelly and will oblige if they can.

Otherwise you could try contacting these sites which should not be too far away for you.

Acorn Certificated Site -
Brookside Caravan Park -
These are 2 sites listed on the following link
s****horpe Campsites, Page 1 - Camping and Caravanning Directory

Or you could try these sites which are also near S****horpe
