Hi all, I am currently in Goa but on my return 24th March I will have a word with my local friendly Landlords who have large car parks and I'm sure would be more than happy to have us like minded funsters. I will update you all. It would be just outside Penryn.

That looks fun. My mate owns a pub in Hayle, so could do both.

Hi Yorik, Sounds good to me. Whats the name of your mates pub will go and send your regards. Any excuse to go visit a Pub is ok in my book.:beerchug:

I'm a sucker for Cornwall, fell in love with it at 17 having ridden a scooter there over 300 miles. Been just about every year at least once since.
Lamb, mint and pea pasty from Penganna bakery in St Ives is worth the journey alone.

We could meet up and plot revenge against Dawn B:Rofl1:

Come on then, I'm waiting....................

who wrote to you about pub names (BT, August 15), might be interested to know that there is also a pub called the Bucket of Blood in Hayle in Cornwall.

One morning, so the story goes, a bucket was put down the well to collect water and up came a bucket of blood complete with a severed head.

:BigGrin:Hi Philbo,
We'd definitely be interested, providing there's no clash with other meets.
Thanks:thumb::thumb:

Legend says the Bucket of Blood got its name many years ago when the landlord went to the on-site well to get a bucket of water but found there to be just blood. Further investigation found there was a badly mutilated body at the bottom of the well.

Sounds good, if dates fit, count us in.

Just down the road from us, count us in, If you need any help, I'm only a PM away:Smile:

Likewise, it is just down the road for me, can help out etc, providing I'm in the county. Depending on dates count me in.

I would really love to come if circumstances at that time are favourable.... Will I have problems driving down the narrow roads?

We are looking forward to this one :drink: Will be away skiing 22nd to 29th march, if the arrangements are made during that time please put us down.

Don't worry Darlin' I'll be your Indiginous guide, running in front with the red flag.

But if it's where I think it is, it's all main roads anyway:thumb:

Hi All, Back on line although most of you will still be in Bed. 8:45 here.
1. Movan don't worry as rangitira said indiginous guides will be made available with red flags.
The places I am thinking of are close to the main A394.
2. rangitira & dreckly perhaps we could meet up when I am back & I could let you know the places I have in mind. Also with us having local knowledge maybe organise a trip.

Both Pubs I have in mind have large car parks.

When I have more information will let everyone know. Also try & be flexible to accomodate all those wishing to attend. :party2:

Drank in there a few years back whilst staying in a mates chalet on the site opposite for a couple of weeks! (I think I still have the pub sign keyring!)
Was very friendly with an old fella named John - he was a local taxi driver, and had plenty of tales about living in Spain and running a bar out there etc.etc. and had written a book about his life! He was a very memorable 'character' !
....if he's still there - I bet he remembers Dave & Jackie:BigGrin:

Oh dear,I thought they had stopped John annoying the tourists

I rib him mercilessly about his bar in Spain and his book

He's from my home town of Bradford and the brother in law of a very good pal who also moved down there. Got him in the text message joke list in my phone.

A good old boy

I'm up for this - be good to meet a few of you

Update

Hi All,
Am back in good old blighty old bones feeling the cold though. I have been to a couple of the pubs I had in mind and both Landlords are up for us to have a meet. The Pubs are:-
1. The Black Swan in Gweek.
http://www.blackswangweek.co.uk/
2. The New Inn in Mabe.
The first picture is the New Inn this has a large carpark level.
The second picture is the carpark for the Black Swan. Sloping from halfway down but should be ok.
Both Landlords will provide water and somewhere to dispose of black & grey water.
There is another Pub The Halfway House Rame Cross this actually has a 5 van cl at the back. I will have a word with David the Landlord to see if he would be able to allow more. I am not sure how many he could take but will check out.
