Rally Chat Stratford Upon Avon River Festival & Car Boot Sale Rally 29 June - 2 July 2018

Hi,we are not able to make this meet due to a family wedding.Thanks Lesley.
 
FAO musical Funsters - Stratford River Festival are looking for acts for next year:

"Interested in performing at Stratford River Festival 2018?

Send an email with a description and links to your online recordings etc. and website to stratfordriverfestents2018@gmail.com

Deadline January 31st : You will get an auto-reply so you know it's received.

There are two festival stages:
* Bandstand - acts are selected to represent a broad variety of music and are mainly allocated to local performers or those with a connection to Stratford; and are paid.
* Acoustic stage - acts are usually smaller or of a 'workshop/join in' nature, and are unpaid.

Ents Programming
We will start looking at the acts in November.
We aim to reply to everyone - please get in touch again in February if we haven't replied.
The program will hopefully be complete in mid-March.
(If you're unsuccessful your details will be kept on file for future events.)

This is a free community event, and this is reflected in the fees and riders etc.

Taken into consideration
• The kind of music you play
• Where you are from – local performers or with a connection to Stratford
• Music suitable for an open access event - all ages
• Your tech spec
• Whether you've played the festival before (we usually leave a gap between rebookings for an act)
• If you have a solid fan base, or are up and coming and would really benefit from the experience of playing at the festival

Not taken into consideration:
• Awards/competitions won
• Slickness of your website, photos or your marketing and promo material. We are only interested in the quality of music, your attitude and stagecraft, and if you would fit with the festival
• Repeated submissions from the same band
• Who is friends with whom etc.

Us Wombles are off shortly for a little winter sun :sun: so will reply to queries when we can but if not requested today then we will catch up with sending out booking forms over the Xmas & New Year period :xThumb:

loved stratford, think i may come if the vans okay, really need to get a calendar to organise myself for next summer.. :)

edit..

just realised this comes 'hot on the heels' of the stratford motorhome show so a double dose of stratford loveliness and a second chance of visiting the theatre again..:xThumb:

Booking is still open on this one & those new to rallying are assured of a warm welcome! :hi: Come along & do your own thing or join in with any gatherings or trips - either is fine. The Stratford Racecourse is a great camping spot (with toilets & showers too) for the town & River Festival & good value at only £28 for 3 nights.
Any questions just ask.

Thank you to all those who have booked & also those that have expressed an interest in this rally so far (y)
We currently have 32 spaces booked with many others having requested but not yet returned the booking form - please don't leave it too long as this one is steadily filling up & wouldn't like anyone to miss out!

We are pleased that Chris & Alice @Chrysalis have kindly agreed to come along as marshals (y) - we will need their help as what started as a small rally is now getting quite big!
We have added an itinerary of what there is to do & see so far & welcome any suggestions for more or if anyone wants to organise anything then please let us know.
