FAO musical Funsters - Stratford River Festival are looking for acts for next year:

"APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR STRATFORD RIVER FESTIVAL ENTS PROGRAMME!

6th/7th July 2019

We're already getting queries from bands who would like to play at next year's festival.

The deadline for submissions is JANUARY 31ST 2019

Any applications received after this date will not be considered!

Please send an email with a brief description, links to online recordings (YouTube, SoundCloud, Bandcamp etc), your website and contact details to this email address:

riverfestents2019@gmail.com

Please note:
Bandstand acts are selected to represent a broad variety of music and are also allocated in the main to local performers or those with a connection to Stratford, with some exceptions.

The Acoustic stage acts are usually smaller or of a 'workshop/join in' nature and are unpaid.

If you're not successful your details will be kept on file for future events.

We try to reply to everyone but due to the volume of applications sometimes we don't - please get in touch again in February if we haven't replied.

Programming thinking will start in November/December but the deadline for applications is January 31st 2019 so anyone applying before then will be considered on an equal basis.

Performers understand this is a free community event and fees, riders etc all reflect that.
The programme will hopefully be complete by mid March.

We take into consideration the following:
Where you are from
What kind of music you play
If your music is suitable for an open access event (ie - all ages)
How many there are of you and what your tech spec is
If you've played the festival before
If either you have a solid fanbase or are up and coming and would really benefit from the experience of playing at the festival
If your YouTube links etc prove you can perform to and entertain an audience
The quality of your musicianship (most important)

We do not take into consideration:
Awards/competitions won
The slickness of your website, photos or your marketing and promo material - we are only interested in the quality of your music, your attitude and stagecraft and if you would fit with the festival
Repeated submissions from the same band
Who is friends with whom
That you're 'the best band in the Midlands'
Etc etc!

Anyway - you get the drift! So if you think we'd like you, and more importantly if you think thousands of festival go-ers would, drop us an email!
