Stratford 2014

Saturday

Will be arriving on Saturday not sure what time have been told I can pay on the gate but must pay for Friday as well my question is is it still worth coming along we have not been before as we are only collecting the new van on Thursday
 
Someone at Kent mentioned that there may be racing on the Tuesday. What are the Tuesday arrival times to be parked with the funsters please? Dont fancy being stuck in the day area.

There is a race meeting on the Tuesday afternoon. The first race is at 2:10 pm, the racecourse is open to the public 2 hours before the first race. Public parking area is open from 11am as far as I know. I cannot find any information regarding arrival time for campers on raceday.

Morocco Theme

Noticed quite a few of the "Morocco 2014" crowd are going to Stratford. Anyone fancy the idea of an informal "Morocco Evening"; you know, bring your djellaba, tagines or what have you. I've noticed a couple of other threads about folk interested in a "Morocco 2015" trip - perhaps we could pass on some of the experiences, hilarious or otherwise. Any other ideas anyone?

Hope I'm not treading on anyones toes!:hardhat:

The organisers of this event deserve a pat on the back.

I paid and booked last week and accidently put down I was arriving on Monday. They phoned me back after I emailed them and when I told them it was a mistake and I was arriving Friday, they refunded the money too me no questions asked.
Top marks, just a shame the bloody shows so poor. :Laughing:
 
They are an accommodating bunch, they are working to get a water supply to our rally area, because I hate that bowser. Hopefully they'll sort it:thumb:

I'll drag as much canvas there as I can, won't ever have enough for 250 ralliers though. Not that we'll need it. I've ordered sunny days and balmy nights :Laughing:

Is it just me or is their web site full of completely out of date pages? If I click on 'Camper Info' I get Bath & West Showground 13-15 September 2013. When I rang them up 2 weeks ago to ask why, they couldn't understand what I was talking about, so the old pages are still there.

Terry, at last years show and following the 2013 trip. We were greeted at the Fun marshal point by 2 blokes fully dressed in djellaba's :Doh: MrMotorhome and Suggy....
We then got parked in a special "Morocco" encampment.. :Rofl1:
You will find many of the menfolk keep their djellaba's in the vans ready for chiily evenings at rally's and shows. You will very likely be asked about the trip and can pass on information. Thats how it all started for us, meeting people and hearing the tales..
Fingers crossed for some Morocco type weather... :thumb:
 
I have now booked and paid and filled in the form - arriving Thursday.

If you are arriving on the Tuesday I am told funsters wont be allowed to the fun area until after 7pm

The electric hook up is not available where funsters are pitched

We will now either arrive on the Monday or the Wednesday, we are not sitting in a car park until 7pm to be moved again like we used to when we came up late on a friday night.

Have now booked Thursday as well as Friday off so team Dux will turn up on Thursday as originally planned. Mind you, only get back from my business trip at 0700 Thursday morning:Eek!:

Help please

We have just found out that even though we booked online the booking didn't go through ---- if we rebook can somebody tell us please do they send tickets or an email that you print off in order to get in on arrival because today we leave home and do not return prior to the rally so wouldn't want to do this if the tickets will come here -- hope to hear from someone -- thanks
