Strange discovery (16 Viewers)

Whilst investigating a kluncking sound when engaging the clutch,? I found this thing (see attached) it's on the nearside above the strut and is sorta flexible.
Any ideas?

Looks like an old torch with a magnetic base that someone has left under your van, give it a tug and it should come off.

It’s got a cover on it held on by screws; how have you managed to resist taking the cover off?

Thanks guys, I'll pull it off then, don't know how long it's been there, any ideas about the clunking sound when I change gear, it happens when I re-engage the clutch

Yes it's a magnetic torch and after cleaning, it charged up ok and is working fine ????.
Clutch bearing ? I hope not as I had a new clutch fitted 6 months ago.
