Just purchased an IH 600 RL N class. Where do other van conversion owners store their bedding? Room under seats very limited. Previously had Hymer A class & all bedding was stored in pull down bed. We have a mattress topper, duvet & pillows. Don’t really want sleeping bags.
Sensible suggestions only please!

Thank you for your suggestions, we are just not used to squeezing bedding into small spaces and being careful with storage space! We will make it work for us! Having looked round the van, husband thinks location of water pump on one side and gas regulator on the other side are good for maintenance but a waste of space under the seats. But then again, no van is perfect! I think the more vans you have had the more critical you become, certainly true in our case.

take you pick there are loads of shapes and sizes and if you want to avoid the hand pump, you can always use a vacuum cleaner if you carry one, reduces the bedding to fit comfortably in the under the bed storage , roll it suck it store it

Obviously I put clothes in the wardrobe but we must take more clothes than you if we go away for a few weeks! I do use the cupboard over the battery for a few tins, spare tea and coffee.
I will check that pipe now, yours must have been like it for years, how did you manage to straighten it? Actually I’ve looked at ours and it is a bit pinched but not like yours but I can’t really see how to sort it without getting a much longer piece of pipe as the hole in floor is almost directly below the valve bit, it looks like it needs a decent loop to stop the kink really.
Just seen this, I will ask John. It involved finding and removing a loose piece of van floorpan ! A round bit, cut out when they fitted a drop vent.

I could not be bothered with doing that every day! We just stuff them in overhead locker. Having feather duvets mean that it stuffs easier!

I could see that hole in the floor, I think we will leave well alone as ours isn’t as bad as yours but will certainly ask at the next hab check which we will get done at IH as it’s still under warranty.

John says the pipe appeared to be draining (if it ever did drain!) directly into a cross member underneath. When he removed the loose floor “plug” he found a larger hole whch enabled him to direct the pipe under the van. He made the original pipe less kinked and a gentle curve.

Ours just rolls up at the back, memory foam mattress and a duvee and pillows, takes about thirty seconds to roll up or unroll (y) slats slide out in the middle.

Have the same in my van but longitudinaly allows me to put 8x4 sheets of plywood in the van on top of the bed!

I put some 8x2 oak in the corridor and sheered of a kitchen unit knob I'll put it back in when I get a chance!

Nick says it’s an air outlet pipe so he’s happy with ours as it wasn’t as bent as yours, if it had been to drain water I can’t imagine anything would have come out although they do both look very clean!
