Whist we await our driveway being widened for our (not yet obtained) van, I thought I'd ring round to obtain a storage space, in case we purchase and need it for a few weeks.

There were no spaces, as apparently, many storage facilities around Manchester have shut this year, causing everyone who used to have a secure spot, to seek and fill the spaces of those that remain in business!

Is this true?

I heard it off two separate sources, but it seems remarkable.

Thought it was a guaranteed goldmine?
What about the Self store near Holdsworth Bridge in Reddish, the Old Stockpack.

Great Location if a little expensive. But short term could be okay.

1400 units on the site I use.

£140 per qtr for 7.5mtrs.

A large industrial are many of the larger factory units owned by the site owner.

Land could be grassed grazing fields.

Area would be subject to flooding, the Gwent Levels, but is well managed.

It is run as a business by business minded people. Every area is either occupied by a factory unit or converted to storage spots.

The numbers are big, 1400 × 4 × 140 = £784,000. overheads will include a very secured area, CCTV, lots of Security Guards and many dogs. all shared with the factory units.

Being in the right place at the right time to have started up is probably the most important factor along with setting a standard that is high.
