It would be nice if we could have roaming in the UK on UK contracts. That way we may get some decent coverage.

If & when roaming charges are done away with then the same will apply in the Uk . Anyone's mast can /will be used.

If you want a stonking '3' monthly broadband contract sign up for the one which is on offer at the moment giving 20gb of data for the cost of 5gb, so you get:

• 20gb data
• 12 month contract
• £13 a month ... yes that's right £13!!!!
• It can be used abroad as part of the 'feel at home' arrangement
• free 4G if available, otherwise 3G (assuming your equipment will receive 4G)

We've just done a contract for it and the chap on the phone (in Scotland) has confirmed that it is a 'flash deal' moment and is due to finish shortly so grab it while you can!

I've just checked the phone deal leaflet I picked up whilst in the store and that's one of the 'essential' ones so cannot be used abroad as part of 'feel at home'.

@Minxy Girl...................really useful post................................can I ask that for once people accept the difference between data only Sims and phone sims........................Not interchangeable and no point referring to both in the same post.............Mi fi units with data sims are made to "teather" but it's not the same thing.

Anyway last year we got 6 months abroad on our 3 FAH sim.................but we had a rolling contract and could cancel if they "caught up with us" Thought about the £13 month deal ................but you are stuck with it if they "catch you using more than 2 months abroad"

But in reality the 3 FAH is so throttled for downloading that it's almost impossible to use the full monthly allowance.

For anyone wanting to use the internet abroad I think the 12g for 12 month sim is UNBEATABLE ............with any free campsite usage we reckon a single sim could last us 2 months(when they apparently get cut off anyway)

So that's free internet abroad for 2 people for 2 months for £25 .....................no there's no tethering,no free minutes !!!! that's something different

Thanks @Minxy Girl for telling us about this. Went into the Hull St Stephens shop for this deal and got it. Was paying almost double this for 45gb from KCom!
