Sterling B2b charging is this what you would expect?

B2B is on lithium profile which as I read the manual should just work.

Checked wiring and amended it slightly to match the suggestions.

Hms01 input from engine moved to B2b input.
B2b output to the hsm01 input.

No difference to the amps output.

Checked voltages on b2b with battery at 75%
Input from engine is only 13.2?
Output to hsm01 is 13.4
Charging amps at 12-15 measured with clamp meter and matching the phone app.

Fan on B2b starts after a few minutes and all led look correct apart from the output is low as above

When engine is turned off voltages and amps drop as only input is the solar and its been cloudy most of the day.

I tried mains charging and amps immediate rise to 40A and fully charged in a short time.

My last B2B was the bbw1260 ( think that's correct , 60 amp waterproof model ) which I used with lead acid batteries , the most I ever seen it put in according to the victron battery shunt monitor was 50 amps , in the end it went kaput just after 2 years of medium use. Now using Renogy 60amp with lithium and I get 60amps :)
Now if I was you I would disconnect the leisure battery from EVERYTHING apart from the B2b and just have the positive from the cab battery running to the B2b , a negative lead from chassis to B2B , then use the likes of a clamp multimeter to measure the amps going into the leisure battery when it is standing alone without anything else from the MH connected up .
If you don't have a clamp type multimeter to measure the amp input , then use a shunt / monitor if you have one.

Also use the likes of a hairdryer or something hard on batteries to run down the batteries a bit , that way you are sure they are not fully charged before doing any tests

If the fridge is switched to dc which it should be with the engine running, it will be pulling a high current

Hi Bustup15, in the picture it looked like where were 2 wires connectrd to the input of the hsm01 is that how it is ? If so where does the second wire go ?

Originally I left the original engine feed to the hsm01 and took a second feed back to the B2b, then to the leisure battery.

Tried changing it with the engine feed direct to edit direct to b2b and then to the input of hsm01.

Makes no difference to the operation except that it now can't see the engine battery voltage unless the engine is running.

Re the Sterling B2B1260, I had a problem with mine yesterday which was easily resolved, and when running correctly, was inputing at 57 x amps, which reduced quickly to 50 x amps, then settled down to 25 x amps.

Bustup15, good luck sorting out your Lithium charging. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)
