Autotrail 2007 Chieftain SE. Step suddenly stopped working ( I am plagued with that bloody step )
I think I know the answer but does anyone know for sure where the control relay is ?
I think it is in the EM50 unit .. and if it is, then I will just rewire the whole thing as I am NOT gonna take that apart again !!!!

The information about the EM50 states that it has an inbuilt intelligent electric step controller providing push button operation and automatic retraction along with motor run time linked to limit switches so I would think it is all controlled by the EM50 ( are the step operation jumpers , on the left of the fuses on the EM50 in place if you are having problems).
If you do not already have it there is information about EM50 connections, operation etc at www.sargentltd.co.uk in their support section/search articles

If it is faulty Sargent have replacements in their shop or www.apuljackelectronics.co.uk can repair them if needed.
Yessssssssss...... been there done that :)
The EM50 is neither the sturdiest or most reliable bit of kit
Rather than just fit yet another one I am building something my self
