Ikea door mat £15. Cut and cable tied together makes a great non slip step mat.

Isn't that going to get wet and caked in road crud, just before you step inside ?

No we’ve had one for 10 years on the van and it’s worked well.

When I took the old worn one off it was predictably slightly grubby underneath but the top sits closed to the van so it’s ok.

It’s great for wiping either grass or sand off your feet before you enter.
The main advantage is the non slip effect when exiting.

Never mind the mat - those door rims are CLEAN!!!!

I used some old rubber mats I had spare. Those ally steps can be slippery when wet, especially when using the step going out.

Mousy. We've been doing similar for many years now Dawn & Martin, but with a grass style matting.
It really does make a difference when wiping the soles of your shoes first, before entering the MH, and it's non slip.

The original Thule metal surface was very slippy, if wearing wet or plastic soled shoes.
The matting jet washes very well too, as it has drain holes all long the underside.

A piece of rough plastic matting and a couple of plate hangers … keeps it secure and easy to put on and take off!

I've glued a couple of pieces of wilton to the bottom of our shoes. Works a treat.
