Starting trip to Outer Hebrides 2023

Fire's out but ambo with blues & twos arrived.
Same ferry we saw going out, turned round not long after sailing.

... just had a word with An Official - apparently the ferry caught fire (MV Hebrides)
That really fills me with confidence! We are booked on the same route later in the year. :(

I did hear about ferry unreliability on the news due to their age basically, MV Hebrides has been running for many a year now, but a nice ship to be on when its running. It going to be years yet before they are replaced due to some screw up with orders, or something, cant remember now.
Question Please CWH I cannot see any signs of an LPG pump anymore at the UIG Gleaner filling station, has it gone?
Thanks.

Hi folks, Started the photo workshop yesterday had a great day taking photos of derelict houses and other stuff panos etc., today Butt of Ness lighthouse and cliffs with 8 minute exposures !, cant post anything on fun yet as we will be have a group processing night after which I will try and post.
Weather yesterday was clear blue bright skys, today grey overcast turning to rain in the afternoon. Tried to explain to Gary the tutor that I see no fun in doing photography in the rain and the filters/lens constantly getting wet( don’t need out if focus shots of raindrops 🤪) He didn’t take the hint !

Nearly forgot, Petrol station on road to Butt of Lewis £1.41.9 for petrol and £1.43.9 for diesel, that’s probably the cheapest in the UK 👍🏻👍🏻 told I cannot bring a tanker to fill up 🤭

Question Please @CWH I cannot see any signs of an LPG pump anymore at the UIG Gleaner filling station, has it gone?
Yes they stopped lpg at Uig a couple of years ago. As far as I know the only lpg pump on the island is at Broadford Co-op.

Hi Guys,
been down the ‘Gold road‘ past Finsbay taking shots of more derelict houses 🤪 after spend the morning sat watch ‘Photoshop’ techniques very interesting but don’t ask me if I have remembered any of it. I know I need to start playing with Photoshop again to get the best out of my photos.

The Gold road, takes you to a 15th century church St Clements very atmospheric and with a few WW1 sailors graves. The road is just track wide with switchbacks and blind drops but very picturesque. Saw 2 Golden Eagles flying low by us in the van, they ignored us.
