Yuasa was an 019 higher capacity and higher CCA than the OEM one, think it's 100ah, 990 CCA.I initially though I required an 019 in our 2018 ducato however when it turned up it was to small and less cranking power so had to get 020 which fitted snugly

Power plus advanced xd supremeWhich battery did you go for?
Tell me about itThese battery names and sizes are very confusing
Yes I had to get one out in the middle of the New Forest so got a mobile fitter to get one I told him what I thought was recommended 019 and it was not correct so he had a double visitTell me about it
You need a bigger one to wave that's only the 3000.Battery waving time..
also had a Yuasa fitted at the local garage
£130

That is a very good point and you are right. Start/stop technology is supposed to reduce pollution. However starting the engine may burn more fuel than letting it tick over for a minute or 2. Then add on the added wear on components in the starter circuit and the involved cost and energy to produce and fit them. I personally think start stop technology on ICE vehicles is not sensible in normal town/city traffic. Especially when you see the cost of the suitable battery is 2 or 3 times the cost of an equivalent standard lead/acid starter batteryIs it best to disable the start/stop function to preserve battery and starter motor life?
Thanks. Interesting to see if an existing start stop battery can be replaced with a normal battery when the time comes. That is a very good point and you are right. If you have stop/start, then you probably have a smart alternator. These require an AGM battery to absorb the higher peaks of energy during periods when the engine is off load and providing eco charging.Thanks. Our van failed to start yesterday after a long lay up on EHU ,the panel shows 12.3v and we have a battery master fitted ,it tried to start all the lights on dash as normal but didn’t kick over , as far as I know the battery is the original (18 plate) so time to renew?
The installer starter battery looks absolutely huge. What would happen if I swapped it for a good AGM starter battery that's not rated for start/stop, but disabled that function on the dash? Would the ECU have a problem with that, do you think? This approach would cost less, and save some weight too.If you have stop/start, then you probably have a smart alternator. Problem is that even when off on the dash, the stop/start function is programmed into the ECU to monitor and provide charging for the expected battery. It will work for a while but the wrong battery will have a shorter life. With my transit custom and a number of other vehicles you have to go into the software via OBD port and tell it that a new battery has been fitted. It then knows to bulk charge the battery at a different rate. Otherwise it thinks you have an old battery in with ever decreasing capacity due to the internal resistance being differentThe installer starter battery looks absolutely huge. AA mobile replaced my stop/start - so had to have an AGM (or AMG?) £264 supplied and fitted including recoding.Me no gotty
On a 10 month old van, I hope that was done for you under warranty?AA mobile replaced my stop/start - so had to have an AGM (or AMG?) £264 supplied and fitted including recoding.
Diagnosed old battery first - voltage good but ampage not. Interesting that on 10 month old van - 2500 miles - that existing battery was 835 days old....
