We fitted semi air to our Hymer a few years back. For the last year or so we've had a squeeking from the rear, I've looked underneath but can't see anything rubbing to make this noise, so don't think it's the airbags. Any ideas ?

2011 Fiat heavy chassis type.

I’ve got squeaky bushes too! I’ve dosed them with GT40 silicone spray lubricant and they seem to be getting gradually less squeaky.

Cheers!

I kept lubricating my squeaking bushings. I used silicone and it seemed to work. But then it failed an MOT...from perished bushes. It was virtually the same price to replace the whole leaf set as just the bushings due to the labour. So I just switched the whole lot.

Having tried (and failed) to push bushes out of some control arms on my old BMW I would advocate for replacing the whole part - as you say, labour will be the same.

In future, burn the old ones out, then clean thoroughly, and used lubricant that should come with new rubber bushes.
That's how I did it before replacing with new Polyflex type on the trailing arm on my VW T25.

Agree, as post #8, burn ‘em out - but it does take a bit of courage to attack your P&J with a blowtorch!
