Well travelled
We have loud squeaking coming from rear of our Hymer. We have semi air suspension on rear as well
But suspect it's the bushes on the leaf springs
Anyone know better or had this done ?
Chassis is heavy Fiat so doublspring type.
Thanks

I've got the same problem. A garage replaced the spring hangers and bushes with latest Fiat parts, but still not solved the creak. They now think it's the bushes in the actual springs. Unfortunately Fiat only supply the bushes as part of new springs. I have opted to have the bushes replaced with pattern parts for now. I will report back Friday evening, after the work has been done.

Ever since lighting was by Calor gas.
When I was in the trade it was known as 'scrooping' - usually worse in hot dry weather. We used to squirt brake fluid onto the bushes which worked its way in over a few miles driving, stopping the noise.

many many years! since I was a kid
A bit of dust between the springs or even light rusting makes an awful racket. Yes the bushes squeak, but the leaves are often the cause

We have double springs on our Hymer, I Jack it up periodically and part the springs with a screwdriver and grease them with assembly grease.

Some leaf spring bushes when fitted are supplied with a tube of specific grease. Presume it must wash away eventually.

Another thing to check.I had the same.It turned out to be the handbrake. Next time when driving lift the handbrake up a tiny bit .But don't pull too hard.It disappeared on mine.My local garage sorted it for me.
