With the retirement of Rossi, are these type of sports people extremely rare? In my lifetime I can only remember a few others Mohamid Alli, James Hunt and Barry Sheene.
Is it the pressure of having to toe the line with manufacturers and sponsors that supress natural exuberance, Jack Miller comes to mind, or are they all slowly ground down to speak the corporate message as they ultimately know who puts the beans on their toast?

I know that this young man is my nephew but he is one to watch out for in the coming months and years.

Guy Martin comes to mind. He says it how it is. Love the man. So down to Earth. Rossi is definitely one of a kind Though. Will be sorely missed.
He did come to mind but sadly he has not had the success as the others I mentioned, and therefore not the airtime. I think had he got into moto gp the TV companies would have loved him.

I do agree but I've regrettably had to give up on his progs as he gabbles so fast it's too much of a strain to follow what he's saying.

Now, when it comes to charisma.......................Andy Murray?

Tyson Fury comes to mind, I couldn't stand him in his early years, but now find his character funny.. He doesn't really care what others think of him and is honest enough to admit his numerous failings.

You beat me to it!

Have a read of this. Plenty of character and charisma there. Great read too

Grant McCann mate.

Bucket loads of it.

And the one of course that wasn’t very good at towing the corporate line.... Scott Reading.
He seems to have mellowed a little now though.

Shall really miss Rossi, know he is not to everyone’s taste, but he was a right charmer in the pits and a joy to watch on track. so disappointed we couldn’t be there for his last race.

There is only one driver that has world championships on 2&4 wheels.

Always remember going to the Festival Of Speed and visiting the stand that John Surtees was on, took his time and spoke to anyone that wanted to, think it was just after his son got killed in a car race😢😢

Lovely chap and unfortunately racers like him are getting rarer😢

Someone that thumps his manager early on in his career is never going to get far, he has a demon on his shoulder.

Gotta agree with you there. Have a look at the pre-match response to Deontay - warning do not open if easily offended! :blusher:

Jenson Button comes across well in interviews and documentaries 👍🏻
