Speeding fine.

It could equally be said low life UK motorists ignore speeding fines abroad. They both have the same disrespect for the law.
Although there’s a massive difference between blatantly ignoring a speed limit and accidentally creeping over or not aware (yes I know you should be but we’re not all 😇😇😇😇)

I've got done in the past but you do the crime you pay the fine same if you get caught out with the parking ( forgot to put out the disc zone card). Big difference between owning up to being wrong and thinking your above the law and trying to get away with it in another country where you're a guest.

It did, Spain set up a new agreement after Brexit that came into force two years ago. I don't think any other country has so far.
They can still get your data despite people saying that Brexit stopped to sharing of driver and vehicle information. The Netherlands and at the moment in dispute with a number of EU countries who are obtaining their nationals data from a company in Italy.

Fair enough but not if you are being penalised twice.Once ,the fine, second the points in the UK.
ame if you get caught out with the parking (
no it is completely different ,there is not a secondary punishment with points.
Here I have to be in excess of 151kph on the motorway to lose points .

I think points are pretty good as an idea but poorly executed without them people with lots Dosh would just speed all the time and never face any meaningful penalty. I think up to 5 mph over people could just be having a momentary lapse of concentration and there shouldn't be any points the first time but three strikes and you're out and you then get points evey time unless you have say 3 years then revert back to everyone else. At the other end of the scale more than 30 mph over the limit should be penalised as much as drink driving and mandatory bans should mean just that no getting off on " special requirements" to have a licence.

You broke the law, why try to avoid the fine as well. Then become a possible target on a future visit.

So, if you're caught speeding in the UK and given points plus a fine are you being punished twice?
