It was manufactured week 47 of 2017. It's been kept in the van's garage out of uv light all its life. How does £45.00 (+ postage/transport) sound?

Hi Taran, might be interested in that , but what is the" 4717" what you asking for it .

Hi just had a quote from the Wheel shop for a spare wheel inc tyre (budget) for £144.90 inc del with a load rating of 121 , i have Michelins on with a load rating of 116 does it make any difference as it will only be used as a spare until the other was repaired.

James that's what I thought, but because you have put the spare on does that make you illegal or OK until you get the chance to put the right one on ,it's very confusing don't know what difference it makes as long as it the same size .
It makes you illegal

Best to have a matching spare if you travel in France or Spain as breakdown & tyre companies will refuse to fit a tyre if it is different on the same axle.

Not certain but I think the 16" steel is 1350kg, ive seen aftermarket ones at only 1000kg.
Hi Lenny, regarding the load rating of the steel rim I have been offered one that is 1100kg according to the guy in the wheel shop (Manchester) that would give me 2200 across the rear axle, but should I up plate later this year from 3.5 to either 3.650 or 3.8 not made my mind up either way yet would I have to change anything, alloys all round.

if your rear axle is rated @ 2000kg it will remain @2000 unless you change suspension wheel/tyres for uprating what does plate/s say? you may be able to up plate without uprating any thing.
I would (did) get a spare with same tyre as i had already (conti cp).

If you are going to only use it as a spare even if you put the rear up to 2240 it should be OK.
I always prefer the spare with tyre to be the same as on the van then I can swap them around without worry.

What about all those cars that have a space saver wheel, would they all be illegal?
