Spare key

I am always very aware of loosing our motorhome keys in somewhere remote. I wondered about hiding one somewhere on the outside of the motorhome or carrying the spare with us so if we lost a key at least we could use our motorhome. Anyone have any thoughts?

Get a strong piece of string
and hang the key around your neck.

My new motorbike is keyless and quite a few owners do this, I still think in your pocket is better as a lanyard can break. i went out on a ride the other week and had a bumbag with my reading glasses a hat,juice and some biscuits in it. Some where on the return leg the clip came undone, over £100 of stuff gone.

We lost our keys at the last Norfolk Show, luckily some good person handed them in to Warner's info office. Wouldn't have been the end of the world, we could have ask the son to run the spare set up to us, only 40 miles from home.

I actually find it quite odd that any couple feel they are likely to lose two sets of keys,so feel the need to put a set in a hidey hole. My wife and I are as scatty as a barrel of frogs and even we have never lost any keys in forty years. Some folk worry too much,methinks.

You may not have lost any keys podney but come on be honest how moho,s have you lost?

In our Carthago there are a fair few hidey holes which are far from obvious even to a seasoned thief ... trouble is if we use them to safely hide stuff we'll probably forget where they are!

I’m not sure a thief would find my stuff hidden in a safe place as I can never remember or find them , usually takes me days to locate

I will admit to making a list of passwords,coded of course,and putting somewhere so safe.......that I never did find it again
