On Spanish motorways what do the square blue signs with white 80, 90 or 100 printed in the centre mean when the limit for that particular section of the motorway is 120kmh?
 
On Spanish motorways what do the square blue signs with white 80, 90 or 100 printed in the centre mean when the limit for that particular section of the motorway is 120kmh?

If it is like other countries, it indicates the minimum one should maintain for that lane, to avoid obstructing overtaking traffic.

It is a suggested 'best speed' but not obligatory.
Exactly as Barrie points out.
I didn't usually payed too much attention to those when driving a car, but very valuable information for when driving the van.
