Spanish menu del dia is under threat!

They can be a bit hit or miss or easy to make the wrong choice. I've had some really good ones and some really bad.

When the Germans headed south in the late sixties early seventies they were told to look for a place that provides...they arrived in Calpe and took it over...they thought they had found Benidorm...but fortunately not..just like when Columbus headed for Asia and landed in the Americas....the rest is history..
If I get offered a job by the Spanish Tourism office again...I'm suggesting everyone goes the Benidorm, and leave the rest of Spain for us...Egg and chips is my favourite...and was when I was a little boy...

Mine too. Eggs from your own hens, fresh home baked bread. A chip sarnie that between mouthfuls you dip into the golden runny yolk. If you don't like that meal, you must be a bit weird.

In the last year I've been to 2 Spanish bars - no tourists - mostly workmen - egg and chips on the menu del dia, one with sausage, egg and chips.......

Plato combinado...it's very common lunchtime main course...I like it...

Egg and Chips is what Brits demand as menu del dia - none of that foreign muck..

Funny you should say that, as fried eggs with chips is considered by many as a gourmet dish (when done properly).

One thing I've learned in life ,if you want to know the truth about anything happening in the rest of Europe DO NOT TRUST A BRITISH NEWSPAPER


Menu of the day is meant for the normal working folk in Spain, Portugal etc.
There's no chance it will ever be scrapped.

The only thing you can believe in any British newspaper is the date….just sayin.
