Spain v Italy. Which is best?

I love both countries and their people. Italian food is my favourite food above all others so no contest there on the savoury front. Not into icecream.

We have recently returned from a few weeks in Italy and much as I loved it I do find motorhoming in Spain easier.

From now on I think Italy will be for travelling through in the van or travelling to the cities by plane.
We used to go there quite a bit skiing.

Didn’t think much of the lakes at all which really surprised me.

They both have much to offer.

I've noticed a lot of motorhomes down here in southern Italy Park up wherever they like... In streets. Car parks, overlooking the sea etc. Nobody seems to be moving them on. That might have been the case in Spain some years ago but not so much now.

Correct...too many naughty activities from the Motorhoming community....but Spain is expanding its Camperstop network...so yet another vote for Spain...Olé

Just finishing a glorious month in North Spain - fabulous cycling with great views and quiet roads

I'm finding that many parts of Italy start to shut down fairly early. It becomes a bit precarious when looking for sites. Sometimes a site just closes even though websites and books suggest they are open. In Spain the season is generally longer with many sites and resorts remaining open for the winter.
