Thanks. Our van is 7.5m and 2.3m wide, but the 3m height bothers me as I have no wish to drag it on cliff overhangs.

Ours is just over 3m and it was okay - you just need to be in the middle of the road a lot!

We only travel in a Dinky Hymer...6.5m and about 2.6m high..Travelling in the north is far less challenging than parts of the Mediterranean regions, where tightly packed streets built for horse and carts and never upgraded for modern day vehicles...

Errgggh!! Guaranteed to change when we cross over. Will take your advice and watch the weather very closely. Booked into a site on the Costa del Sol from 16th Sept so hopefully a bit of Sunshine
