Spain meet 2014 ?? thoughts please...

Funsters (ex Morocco) are currently at a new campsite Bellavista at Manilva, south of malaga,,,
This is an excellent full facility site in a great location, easily up to the standards of Marjal ( but no spa )... Ideal for walking, cycling and right on the beach front.

We are thinking of maybe approaching the site manager ref a possible Funsters meet / rally for 2014 around late Feb or Early March..
Before we do what do others think. ??

Go ask them, get rates for 25 vans and let us know, if its a good rate, we could get at least 20:thumb::BigGrin:
 
Well having looked at the web site: 2 people + car + tent, caravan or tourer + electric € 24.00- Low € 36.00- High I think thats a bit on the high side

If the booking for a large group was much much lower we would attend, but not for € 24.00 a night.

We are paying €18 :thumb::thumb: and thats just what we have negotiated for our small group. After Morocco, dont worry we can haggle.. :Rofl1:
 
The weather now in Benidorm makes me think Feb is not a good time. It's gone grim.

Got to ask, if it's not significantly better than GB then why bother.

Other big question is what is nearby in the way of towns, bars, restaurants ?
 
We would be up for it if you can get a good deal.

Who knows where we will be but there is a good chance that we might be going to morocco, but depending on dates we could be coming back that way.

We would definatley be interested but 12mths is a long time for us to plan anything in advance can't seem to plan more than a couple of days at the momment but please keep us posted

There area couple of RV's here already. Access into the main site is very good. Straight off a dual carriageway. Road ways inside are a bit tight but the one's here have obviously done it. Will investigate further.

Easy flat walk 10mins along paved beachside path to small village with a few bars. Another 10 mins on is a small port, lots of restaurants and bars, chip shop, bank etc.
There is a town a little futher on but I have not been there as yet, planned for tomorrow. Mr Motorhome has been.

We thought that when we came. there is some but last night was very quiet. Unless we were all that tired we never heard it... I am sure we would make more noise.. :Rofl1:

We are just in finishing of plans fo morocco around 28 December for 3 months so should work out for run home

Anybody else planning morocco in new year I was going to start a thread after Easter as we still have a few things to work out but the major problems are sorted

Bellavista v Morocco

Bellavista is a good site and at the 18 euros a night that we paid we would be happy to go again. we are going back to Morocco next Jan and if the Bellavista meet goes on to the end of March we would be able to join it for the last couple of weeks.:thumb:

As a further update for Hilldweller..
Ok so now its a Monday morning, Yes there is some traffic noise off the road behind the site but nothing that has ruined my sleep or would disturb me.
Another small point to mention is that the site does slope slightly down to the beach so almost all vans are on ramps.

If you see the video on the website it was done before the site was fully completed, so it does look better than some of the pictures. Trees and shrubs need time to mature and grow.

Off to see the man later today and will give an update then..:thumb:
 
We've stopped their a couple of times, I'm not into rallies and all that ging gang goolie stuff, but we'd happily go back there, maybe we'll bump into you.

Sooo.. never been to a Funster meet then.. ( Nothing like any 'rally' type thing by any other group )

I have just mailed them asking for a price for 2 months.. Will report back
