Spain for winter

We left the UK on Tuesday, P&O put us up the top again, I think probably saving the lower decks for trucks, enjoyed our visit we was a bit surprised visiting a large Asda store having to ask where the hand sanitiser was ๐Ÿ˜ฒ hidden away and only one bottle and them saying they have used 15 litres that week, people must be taking it home. ๐Ÿ™„
Apart from that and P&O staff having to walk round telling people to put their masks on, and they still insist on removing them as soon as they announced to go to the car deck, ๐Ÿ™„ surely they could have waited another few minutes. ๐Ÿคจ

Had a pleasant trip though France using free Aires, we had a day in Zaragoza yesterday parked on the new free Aire not very busy in the city and 25c a tram runs opposite the aire, but we cycled in having a dog its easier.

Quite a few people in the bars and restaurants, everyone had masks a pretty good at social distancing lots of hand sanitiser and some places had disinfected mats at the doorways.
Tomorrow our guests will be leaving, so the big clean and sanitised until the next one's arrival, hopefully they won't come as they have had 4 flights cancelled but seem pretty determined. ๐Ÿ™‚ Bob.

Which aire did you use? We maybe heading south that way at the weekend, haven't decided yet which way to Tavira. Through central Spain or Cantabria and northern Portugal.
We have been to Zaragoza before but with a caravan and stayed on the expensive municipal site, liked the city though.

What's not to like, free camped from Calais to home ( Javea Spain ), a comfortable 26ยฐc, diesel under 92 cents a litre, our guests were happy and wish to return yet again next year normally a month at peak rate, this year was 37 nights ๐Ÿ˜ฒ left it nice and clean so very pleased. ๐Ÿ˜

Janie went off a found her car that she dumped outside a bar under a nice shady tree while we was away, so pleased to find only one flyer on it, and it started, loaded up with all the laundry to drop off, came back cross ๐Ÿคจ our dear friends that come here socialising, and was really worried before we left, not having any work picked up loads of work and couldn't fit us in until September, but all ended well she found a Spanish laundry in the old town it will be ready Friday, although we don't use guests bedding and towels and so on, we have to be prepared for the next one's, and as it's friends family it looks like they are now coming on the 14th so we have to get out, ๐Ÿ™„ my next problem is Janie said don't take anything out the storage boxes or her wardrobe, then its easier to pack the van and get out. ๐Ÿค”
The problem I have is because I knew we had 6 days to get home, it was an ideal time, to go through my man cave at our daughters in Norwich and load up with all the things ๐Ÿ˜‰ that I knew I have and spend many hours over the last 5 years looking for, and coming to the conclusion they must be in the UK. ๐Ÿ˜

So I have a van full of stuff and I'm not allowed to try and figure away of storing it and maybe dump some less useful things to make room.:rofl:
Just going for swim number two, and have think. :Eeek: Bob.

We only really use an aire if we need water or dump or if it's somewhere we want to visit, apart from that we park anywhere ๐Ÿ˜‰ something you cant take out of an old trucker. ๐Ÿ˜
Same as the route we head in the general direction until I get bored with trunk roads and have a little wander to break the monotony. ๐Ÿ˜

So we left Canterbury park and ride full of water after paying our ยฃ1, and stopped at Bercheres la Maingot outside the cemetery I posted a photo earlier, very quiet rubbish bin, and would have been a tap if we required one.

Emptying the waste and cassette, ๐Ÿ˜‰ you pay for water. ๐Ÿ˜œ

Next stop was in the village of Sarp, they have taps and toilets but we didn't need anything, but weather was thunderstorms, and we went through the vielha tunnel the next morning stopping at Les and filling with cheaper Spanish diesel โ‚ฌ105. ๐Ÿ˜

Our last night was 1/2 hour from home, on some waste ground so we didn't have to get up early. ๐Ÿ˜ Bob.
