We have a Thetford toilet in our van and the red full light only ever comes on during the night when we are tucked up in bed, I assume this is a manufacturing fault that may be covered under warranty ?

SWMBO empties the cassette every morning - I'm too busy firing up the miniature traction engine.

If the cassette is full? Is this because it requires emptying due to human function or is it because the solenoid valve is dribbling water into the cassette? You should notice water on top of the blade if you leave it closed! But maybe what everyone else says. This however did happen to me!

Me too, after a bitterly cold spell like we had recently. The tiny drop of water left in the solenoid flush valve underneath the bowl froze, causing damage which resulted in the siphoning of our fresh water tank contents, into the bowl over time.
Removal and replacement, (a right pig of a job), is the only solution.

Make sure the float which has a magnet in it is clean and not sticking, may need to get your toothbrush on it.
