Why after 5 hours of driving , and when your tired does the god/goddess of motorhomes put this less than 300 metres from your planned campsite . It’s at the hotel restaurant Bal campsite 30 minutes from the tunnel

We met Sod's relations today, went over this bridge with a 3.0m height which wasn't a problem as we're only 2.9m but 200m down the road as we went round the bend we came to this little prat. The road to the bridge said there was a 3.0m limit but didn't mention it's mean little cousin!

Only consolation was that on the way back I was able to get a lovely shot of the bridge with the beautiful poppies in the foreground.

Don't you carry a tape measure?
I have often found the signs to be conservative with the dimensions. If it says 2.5M, when you measure it, it could be 2.6M.

No I saw the sign but wanted to see the shape of the hole , with the curve and the bollards then that IMO made it smaller . Anyway , without using any other smart tech solved the issue and diverted for 500 metres

Tempting to have a bash at getting through because it appeals to the macho in me but the road slopes up, ie. available height reduces so I think I'd have followed you on the detour

But thanks for the post, it reminds me to take note of the advance signs!
