Why after 5 hours of driving , and when your tired does the god/goddess of motorhomes put this less than 300 metres from your planned campsite . It’s at the hotel restaurant Bal campsite 30 minutes from the tunnel

It should fit. And those signs are normally conservative. If it's really quiet, reverse back so you can see daylight on either side. Then fold the mirrors to tuck them through.

No I saw the sign but wanted to see the shape of the hole , with the curve and the bollards then that IMO made it smaller . Anyway , without using any other smart tech solved the issue and diverted for 500 metres

The restrictions could have been after your destination anyway. They could have put a distance notice on the post to make it more helpful.

The signage is generally conservative. It's likely slightly wider than 2.5m at it's narrowest point and taller than 3.1m at the start of the arch curve. If you're within both constraints, you shouldn't have an issue.

Squeezed our 3.0m van under this 2.75m bridge in Lokeren, Belgium a few weeks ago. Spent ages finding the site road and then just thought '$0d it i can fit under there' and luckily I did 😀

I've taken a 3.2m under an alleged 3.0m Bridge before and I reckon I still had 100-150mm clearance 😁

We had this, from the other side , photo doesn’t show bollards just ove a cars width , on our satnav route to an Aire, only 500m from Aire, had a 4 km loop round.

I ended up cracking a skylight on a low bridge with a caravan many years ago. It went under the bridge OK but as the road rose on the exit, the gap diminished by those vital few centimetres.

Taking a double-decker coach into Amsterdam, I came to one of the underpasses into the city when all the warning lights and alarms went off, even though I knew I was only 3.9m and the signs said 4.1m. So I stopped but was immediately joined by a traffic cop who just waved me through saying it was actually 4.3m! Of course no problem (though I did make sure upstairs skylights were closed.......!)

Height barrier on a car park near us, mu doblo fitted under no trouble, till the resurfaced entrance and carpark, it was an ex disability vehicle, so was denying access to those in adapted vehicles, councils reaction was the equivalent of a shrug.
