Sockets on 12v + freesat box

Hi. May seem a daft question but our new to us motorhome has a satellite dish. Bought a small 12v freesat box off ebay. Opened it and the connection was a shaver type 2 pin plug which connects into a plug. Contacted seller asking if there was an adapter from 2 pin to usb but he told me that it was a 12v box and it would work in plug socket. Never heard of this before so be grateful if anyone could throw some light on this before we go away tomorrow! Cheers. Daf

There should be a label on that black box power converter thing which tells you mains voltage, output voltage, and the polarity of the low voltage supply (usually a broken circle for the outer and a dot for the inner).

That’s what it’s supposed to be👍🤦‍♂️ Just plugged everything in and nothing happening. This small box is supposed to light up like photo but nothing happening. Will contact seller and ask tomorrow. Thanks everyone for your suggestions

Just need to buy a suitable 12 volt socket and run straight from 12volt as shown in post #15, that plug block will only change 240 volts ac to 12volt dc.

You would need to measure the size of the plug that goes into receiver and look on eBay
Like the one in post #15
