This is the quote I have had from "Off Grid". Its about what I was expecting I think. Ive not mentioned the Funster discount yet but I assume it will apply if I go ahead

Any opinions? Totally over the top for low power users like us but it is what I asked for and it will hopefully mean ill never have to worry about scrabbling for power again. Also worth remembering we off grid in one place for maybe a month without moving the van so currently a few days of dull weather and we are sitting in the dark playing scrabble with one light on. :D I am assuming but will clarify that this solution incorporates our current panel.

Thank god I can do all that myself for half the cost but then you have peace of mind that it's been done professionally and they have to make a living.

Thanks for that Barry. It is the job I want to do when our batteries quit, so is a useful template. It would be a bit cheaper for us since we already have the DC-DC(B2B), so about £600 less incl. labour.

The guys on the wildies are saying it's overkill for us, well some are but I don't think it is as whatever I do it's going to need a professional to do it so if I went lead acid and more solar or lead Carbon I might save a bit of money but not that much I don't think. Anyway I'll shave a few quid off with the discount and when I tell them I'm dead famous. 🤣

It will be nice to off grid in this van over winter for a few days or even a week like once upon a time we used to in the old one which was getting a bit draughty in the end and the heating wasn't that reliable.
