snooper

I have used a S8000 Ventura for a few years and it has never let me down and very pleased with it . I update the maps every 6 months free and renew the speed cameras every year .

Same as ! No problem anywhere in France or Great Britain.

IMHO, I've always found that the Snooper range is too expensive.
I had the Garmin (forgot the model) with built in tv and it was very good.
However, got the Garmin 660 LTM camper (770 also available as 7" model) and I use in car, Moho and my wagon. Just put dimensions and weight in and off you go.
It also has ACSI sites and MHF sites (the other mob now collapsed), update 3/4 times a year and perfect.
Plus, I always plot sites (Aires and delivery places) and easy to transfer from model to model
Lifetime maps are very useful but note that is for the company to define and they estimate that the working life of a sat nav is 4 years.
If you've got unlimited updates, update as often as possible.
It also has live traffic.

I have the Ventura, when it "lost" us it would default to car mode and try to use unsuitable routes, low bridges etc. The battery has now failed completely and has to be sent back to be repaired. Much cheaper to buy a chinese android unit and use one of the many free apps listed in this forum.
