Small round rocker switch on dashboard

We have had this switch on a fiat & mercedes motorhome but can't remember what it is for. Anybody help please?

On my van the small switch puts the step in

On mine the switch allows the radio to run off the hab battery when the ignition is off.

On mine the switch allows the radio to run off the hab battery when the ignition is off.

Same on mine. Fitted by the previous owner. Hardly use it in case I forget to switch it off. But can be useful.
