Presently waiting for our new motorhome and have been informed it has arrived in the UK but has failed a quality control test.
We have been told it is very minor damage to the floor probably cased by a dropped tool or screwdriver.
We are now waiting on a photograph to see the damage for ourselves so we can decide on the way forward.
We have been told that we would have the option of ordering a replacement with another lengthy wait or some compensation.

While a small cosmetic dent or chip would not really put us off,
We do have a concern that if the damage allows spilled liquid to soak in would this cause future problems with the floor swelling in the future.

Would it be possible to seal the floor to prevent this?

Any thoughts welcome.

It is just vinyl on ply wood , dealers normally have spare rolls of it ( they did for my deathless) , a good floor fitter could cut a bit out & replace it & you would be unlikely to see the patch , they do it for insurance companies all the time

If it needs a patch removing a bit under the kitchen unit would be easy enough by taking the drawers out as you'd never see it anyway, just need to seal it to ensure water couldn't get in where it's been taken from.

The dealer I bought my brand new Moho from (2019) had rolls of the stuff , enough to replace the water stained section in my garage , 2.2m X 1.3m , so hopefully he’ll get a small patch without problem

Finally got down to dealers to have a look and all is ok.
You would not actually notice the damage if you did not know it was there.
It is simply a small dent in the floor caused by a dropped screwdriver handle or similar.
The dealer is going to apply a clear resin to fill the dent.

Hopefully get the van in the next few weeks.

A bit of heat may even bring it back rather than filling it if it’s vinyl type flooring.
