Site recommendation about 1-2 hours south east from Calais

I know I know , s4s , camper contact etc , and I have a site in mind but looking for a lovely aire about two hours drive from Calais near to the east border . First night stop on our trip

If you're going east have you considered travelling via Dunkerque or even Harwich to Hook of Holland.

We have started using the Harwich ferry recently when travelling in that direction.

We stopped at Arras on our first night. Camping car aire with a self cleaning toilet and a shower plus of course water and emptying. Marked out spaces.
The payment machine gives a ticket with a QR code which opens the barrier both to enter and leave so don’t loose it - we came across a few like this so took to using a clothes peg to attach it safe to the van.
The ticket also has a code on it for the shower and toilet.
Free electric bus into the town but it was an easy walk.
