Single beds, do you use duvets or sleeping bags or something else ?

Both (in the depth of UK winter)
In summer the sleeping bag - the rectangular sort without the hood which zips down the side & across the bottom. No problem getting in & out quietly.
If it's a tad chilly I use a throw over the top

We use oversized sleeping bags, 36in wide.

When setting up the doubt bed, they can be zipped together or used as duvets.

We have camped for years and tried every sleeping arrangement, canvas beds, blow up mattresses, sleeping bags, blankets. In the last few years we bought a self inflating mattress straight on the floor and 2 single duvets. Had the best ever sleep in a tent as long as I can remember. Now we have a MH we sleep in the over cab double, use the self inflating mattress on top of the MH mattress and a single duvet each and sleep like a log.

Duvalays, with summer weight duvet in summer!! and winter weight in autumn/spring. Tried everything else. Duvalays have proved best.

Unzipped sleeping bags (Decathlon 100% cotton) used as duvets. A selection of tartan throws should additional warmth be needed.

When we had singles, duvets. I find sleeping bags too claustrophobic.

Wife uses sheets and duvet. Me, a big luxury sleeping bad on a thin ”self inflating”n bed roll to even out the cushions.

easiest when I sleep on the side of the van where the zip is then along the side I get out. Until I looked I never realised that adults‘ sleeping bags all have the zip down the leafy hand side. Apparently they are designed for the quick exit of a predominantly right handed population in an emergency (reach over with the right arm to the lhs)

Duvets. 2 single ones for our single over garage beds. My motorhome bed is as comfy - if not more so - than my one at home. I don't use sleeping bags at home, why in the motorhome?

Duvets and sheets. Why make life complicated in the middle of the night

guess it depends if you have permanent beds and personal choice. some nights I like to sleep outside too. But I am not neurotypical 😂😵‍💫

Can't abide sleeping bags so we used duvet in our single bedded PVC but the standard single ones were too wide so I cut about 6 inches off and stitched them up, same with the covers, perfect fit then and they didn't try to slide off the bed in the night!

One good way to keep a duvet 'captive' is to use a single but put it in a double cover then you can tuck the excess cover in at the side of wall side of the bed.

Duvets.
(Tip: Put a rug between the beds to save wearing out the carpet. ;))
What about carpet, or rug, burns?

I agree. What are these 'single beds'?
Those things that hopefully mean you get to keep all of your duvet without your partner nicking it and also don't have to climb over Mount Everest when wanting to go to the wee room! Only thing that beats them is a double all to yourself ... luxury!

Fitted sheets made by myself with duvets.
We have got 4.5 & 9 tog duvets that can be joined for cold weather but the last few years only used the 4.5 tog and we don't use heating at night.
In bed in the van at the moment.

Why ... have you been a naughty boy and 'put out' for the night?

Fitted mattress toppers and fitted sheets
Snuglux web site
Give them the make and model of your motorhome
(They have patterns for most of them including all the Hymers)
Pick your materiel and colour

And a set of sheets arrives by post.

We have normal single duvets, as the wife is always too hot and I'm always too cold, we have 3 duvets.
A 1 tog, for the wife in the summer, and 4 tog for me in the summer.
And a 10 tog for me in the winter, when the wife puts the 1 and the 4 tog together to make a 5 tog for the winter.
(The 3rd duvet could also be used if we ever used the 3rd bed for a guest, but it's really only a kids bed)

We have 5 season actic level sleeping bags, as I do tent camping year round, but only ever used in the van if I'm staying for one night.
